February 2020 - Knit and natter

News and updates

Due to five Tuesdays in March and school holidays, there are two meetings in March, and no meeting in April. The dates for the next few meetings are: 3rd March, 31st March, 5th May. All the meeting dates are also listed on the left.

We have a speaker for the next meeting on the 3rd March. Mike Carrington is going to talk to us about how to photograph textiles, knit wear and crochet.

Black Sheep Yarns are going to be at Create-It at Farnborough 21-22 Feb.  Exhibitors list is now up  https://www.createitevents.com/ and there may be others that would be of interest to knitters/crocheters too.

Unravel is the same weekend, but also on the Sunday (21-22-23 Feb). The website is   http://craft.farnhammaltings.com/portfolio/unravel-festival-knitting/  Quite expensive at £10 for each day (plus £1 booking fee if you book on-line).

If you are interested in attending the Knitting and Crochet Guild convention this year, then return the booking form as soon as possible, as there are limited spaces.

The Knitting and Crochet Guild's Heritage Lottery funded project 'The collection in 100 objects' has been completed, and the one hundred objects are being released one each day from the 22nd January 2020 on all the Guild's social media channels, and via the news page of the Guild website: https://kcguild.org.uk/news/category/100-objects
